7th element has it's roots embedded in youth worship. Most of the band members were in some way involved in various worship teams within the structure of their local church.

Leader Larry Hewitt and veterans Barbara Kipfer, Nina, Paolo and Caroline Ruocco all began their musical friendship during their regular youth meetings back in 1993. Larry was leading the worship band and the others were filling in the rest.

As the years passed, the group began to develop and Larry's song writing skills began to take shape. "In the beginning" admits Larry, "I didn't really have a 'band' vision. I was just happy to server the church in the children's and youth worship. It was actually the others who kept driving me to develop and dig down deeper into the things I never would have really pursued."

And it was out of this environment that 7th element was born.
