REFLECTIONS

Gazing into the reflecting pool,
looking intently at my own reflection,
I'm gazing into the reflecting pool,
seeing most clearly my open imperfections.

Show me, dear Jesus, in the way I have to go,
Guide me by your spirit, in the way I have to grow up.
Direct me clearly in the way I am to know,
Move me gently, Jesus, in the path I must go.

Give me a vision for this life I lead,
Show me your purpose, and burden for others,
So when I gaze in the reflecting pool,
Let me see Jesus and not my imperfections.

Give me a heart that is open to your call,
Guide me, dearest Jesus, in the way I must go.
Let others see you reflecting in the pool,
gazing so intently at the face of mercy.

I'm gazing down in the reflecting pool,
feeling your grace and your love all around me,
Direct me clearly in the way to go,
I feel salvation from above!

Thank you, sweet Jesus, for the love you give me,
always in your presence I am filled with courage!
Give me a boldness that is worthy of your call,
I pray you forgive my imperfections,

So when I gaze in the reflecting pool,
I see a man that is faithful and holy!
Willing to sacrifice his earthly life
all to serve the master when He calls.

Thank you, sweet Jesus, for the love you give to me,
always in your presence I am filled with courage,
and when I look in the reflecting pool,
I see only you reflecting on me.

I see only you reflecting on me.
